- Bill's greatest joy was his family, especially his two sons, Christopher Michael and William Aaron, born to his marriage with Cathy Hommel in the Mars Hill area. He cherished creating memories with them through fishing trips, boating adventures, swimming outings, and train-spotting excursions. In later years, he found companionship with Dawn West, relished time with his grandchildren J.R., Owen, and Chloe, and doted on his cats and dogs. A talented cook, he filled his home with music, light yard work, and the intricate world of his extensive model train collection.
