U.B. Quarles Jr. crafted a life of quiet strength and unwavering devotion, leaving behind a tapestry of family bonds, faithful service, and simple joys that defined his 83 years.
Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, as the third of eight children to U.B. Quarles Sr. and Ollie Quarles, U.B. grew up surrounded by a large, close-knit family. He pursued his education at School Number 87 before graduating from Crispus Attucks High School. In 1967, he wed his high school sweetheart, Constance Bellamy, embarking on a 58-year journey of companionship. A gentle and reserved individual, U.B. found delight in barbecuing, exploring new places through travel, and cherishing moments with loved ones. His commitment to faith shone through his long tenure as a member of 25th Street Baptist Church, even as health challenges arose later in life.
U.B. dedicated much of his professional life to Chrysler Foundry, where his steadfast work ethic carried him through to a well-earned retirement, contributing reliably to his family's stability and community.
