Born on October 31, 1938, Tom embraced a path defined by service, entrepreneurial drive, and simple pleasures. A devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, he infused his days with faith and fellowship. His passion for card games shone brightest during lively Euchre sessions, while cozy evenings cheering on Purdue Boilermakers, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and Indiana Pacers alongside his son Tommy became cherished rituals. Even after losing his daughter Cheryl, Tom's spirit remained resilient, holding onto the hope of reunion. Tom built his professional world around community staples and reliable service. He proudly owned and operated South Audubon Market in Irvington, fostering local connections through daily interactions. His seven years in the U.S. Army Reserves at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin, instilled a deep sense of duty that echoed throughout his endeavors.

His pride extended to four grandchildren—Kristina (Justin), Mark (Cayla), Kelsey, and Megan—and four great-grandchildren: Will, Ava, Quincy, and OakLynn, whose young energy brought fresh joy to his days.
