Tom's professional journey began as a celebrated chemistry educator at Michigan City Elston High School and Lowell High School, where he earned accolades like Teacher of the Year in 1967 for his engaging, insightful approach. Transitioning to administration, he excelled in school finance as Assistant Superintendent in Tri-Creek, East Allen County, and Lawrence Township districts. Post-retirement, he led Educational Services Company. A statewide influencer, he presided over the Indiana Association of School Business Officials in 1993-1994 and received the 2007 Lamplighter Award for transformative work in school business management.
