She wed her high school sweetheart, David, in 1969, forging a partnership that spanned 56 years. Sherry pursued higher education at Lambuth College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, honing her expertise in Hematology. Her path led her family through Little Rock, Boston, and eventually Indianapolis, where she thrived as a research scientist at Roche Diagnostics. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sherry infused joy into everyday moments—nurturing lush gardens, strolling beaches to gather seashells, savoring lunches with her close-knit neighborhood friends, and embarking on travels across the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States. Guided by the golden rule and a profound Christian faith, she lived with purpose, making every person she encountered feel truly valued and embraced.
Sherry's professional journey in medical technology was marked by specialization in Hematology, beginning in labs in Little Rock and Boston before advancing to a research scientist role at Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis. Her work advanced scientific understanding while she balanced it with the personal connections that defined her.
