After a fulfilling career, she embraced retirement by immersing herself in the lives of her grandchildren and sharing unbreakable companionship with her Yorkie, Miss Lilly. Her days brimmed with the simple pleasures of family bonds and loyal pet affection, reflecting a spirit that thrived on connection and tenderness.
For over two decades, Sharon served as a medical assistant, bringing her compassionate skills to healthcare until her retirement in 2002. Her steady presence supported countless patients and colleagues, embodying reliability and care in a demanding field.

Cherished gatherings and everyday adventures defined Sharon's closest relationships, where her gentle humor and unwavering attentiveness shone brightest. She leaves behind children Marla Murphy-Ingle and her husband Steven in North Carolina, and Michael Murphy with his wife Kathleen in Florida; grandchildren Brittney Murphy in Texas, Jordan Murphy and Mackenzy in Indiana, and Kyle Murphy with Nicolette in Kentucky; plus great-grandchild Brynlee Murphy in Kentucky. Also surviving are brother Ronald Anderson in Indiana, Jackie Murphy and Ellen in Indiana, stepmother Gladys Clouse Canada in Indiana, and stepsiblings Carlos Canada in Costa Rica, Ronald Suits in Indiana, Deborah Kee in Indiana, and Tamara Higgins in Indiana, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, their children, and grandchildren. Preceding her were husband Thomas Richard Murphy, parents Harold Canada and Florence Butler-Manning, sisters Barbara Miles and Arlene Barnd, and brothers Allen Garner and Danny Garner.
