Born in Indianapolis to Bob and Babs McCaffrey, Sharon grew up alongside her identical twin sister, Linda, sharing a bond that defined much of her vibrant life. Her passion for learning led her to Purdue University, where she not only earned degrees but also shone as a Silver Twin performer at bowl games, captivating audiences with her talent and energy. She continued her academic journey with advanced master's degrees in Special Education and Counseling, channeling her skills into a fulfilling path of service to others.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Scott Pillow; her daughter, Vicki Arnold, and son-in-law, Kyle Arnold; her brother, Steve McCaffrey, and his wife, Melissa; her twin sister, Linda McCaffrey, and her partner, Mike Guidone; her cousin, Susan Howard-Brown, and husband, Rodger Brown, along with their children; and an extended circle including nephews John Duckworth (with wife Lauren and children), Ben Callahan; and nieces Laura Kracher (with husband Chad), Rachel McCaffrey (with husband Tyler Marshall), Sarah Pence (with husband Michael and children), and Christina Whiteside. Her influence extended to many relatives, friends, and colleagues who valued her kindness.
