Childhood memories glowed with summer days on his aunt and uncle's farm, fostering a lifelong appreciation for simple joys and enduring bonds formed at School #21 and Arsenal Tech High School, class of 1956. His passions extended to nature through bird watching, travel adventures across the U.S. to explore landmarks, museums, and eateries—with Hawaii holding a special place for its stunning landscapes and culture—and a deep commitment to faith-driven community involvement.

Ross E. Meyer's legacy lives on through their family and loved ones:

  • On July 15, 1961, Ross wed Bernice Burton at Greenwood First Baptist, surrounded by loved ones, embarking on 62 cherished years together until her passing in 2024. They raised three daughters—Sheryl Meyer, Patty Miller, and Cindy Carson—while traveling the nation and savoring retirement with family and friends. Ross delighted as a caring father, humorous father-in-law to Jon Miller and Terry Carson, adoring grandfather to Brianna, William, and Zachary Carson, kind grandpa-in-law to Meghan and Emily, and eagerly anticipating a great-grandchild. He shared warmth and jokes with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews as their beloved Uncle Ross.
