Rosalie Ann (Brown) Stricker crafted a life rich in compassion, humor, and unwavering empathy, leaving an indelible mark on her expansive family and faith community during her 96 vibrant years.

Born alongside her twin brother Bill to Regina Gertrude (Weinman) Brown and Wesley L. Brown in Chicago on May 1, 1929, Rosalie embraced a rural childhood filled with the simplicity of country living and lessons from a modest two-room schoolhouse through middle school. Her path led her to wed her college sweetheart, Bill Stricker, on July 14, 1951, and together they built a home in Indianapolis, nurturing a large family amid seasons of joy and challenge. Renowned for her gentle wisdom—often guiding others with insights like stepping into another's shoes or acknowledging hidden struggles—Rosalie infused everyday moments with positivity and understanding. Her deep commitment to service shone through longstanding involvement with St. Vincent de Paul and as a founding voice in the Resurrection Choir at St. Lawrence, where she contributed for over six decades.

While raising her family, Rosalie poured her energies into community service, maintaining active participation in St. Vincent de Paul for many years and helping establish the Resurrection Choir at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, enriching parish life with her dedication over more than 60 years.

Rosalie wove her days around the rhythms of a bustling household in Indianapolis, where she and Bill raised eight children amid laughter and steadfast support. Surviving family members include daughters Barbara Smith, Janice Swan, and Marilyn Stricker (with Bill Barker), sons David Stricker (Karen), Bill Stricker Jr., and Guy Stricker (Denise), along with 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She now joins her predeceased husband Bill, brother Bill, sons Mathew and Robert Stricker, and grandson Jacob Stricker in eternal celebration, her nurturing spirit evident in every family bond she cultivated.
