Life & Legacy

Rebecca 'Becky' Blair crafted a vibrant life marked by bold explorations, heartfelt compassion for animals, and enduring bonds that spanned continents and decades, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.

Born in Richmond, Indiana, to Jim and Esther Kaucher, Becky spent her early years in Centerville, where she blossomed into a spirited young woman. After earning her high school diploma from Centerville Senior High in 1978, she pursued training at Reid Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Richmond. Fueled by wanderlust, she ventured to Deadwood, South Dakota, sharing adventures with her cousin Susan. There, fate introduced her to Bob Blair, sparking a romance that led them to Anchorage, Alaska, for their wedding. The couple shared over four decades of marriage until Bob's passing earlier in the year. Becky's generous spirit shone through her passion for all animals, particularly cats, and her delight in curling up with a good book or savoring the humor of Monty Python films and Animal Planet shows.

As a dedicated X-ray technologist, Becky honed her skills after completing her radiology training and served communities across various locations, most notably dedicating 22 years to Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Indiana, where her expertise and reliability supported countless patients and medical teams.

Family & Loved Ones

Becky poured her boundless affection into close-knit relationships that felt like family, from her devoted marriage to Bob that weathered moves from South Dakota to Alaska, to the special camaraderie with her 'sister-cousin' Ronda Richison and a circle of cherished cousins. She held dear her sister Jeannie Dunlap and nephew Roger Dunlap, nurturing ties strengthened by unwavering loyalty and shared histories, even amid losses including her parents, husband, and brother-in-law Larry Dunlap.

Remembered by Friends & Family

Tributes from Becky's circle capture a woman whose fearless adventures and tender love for creatures big and small inspired endless admiration, with many recalling her infectious laughter and the comfort she brought to everyday moments.
