A fierce survivor of breast cancer, she channeled her experience into volunteering with Reach to Recovery, providing encouragement to others facing similar battles. Phyllis embraced life's pleasures with enthusiasm—tending her garden, embarking on spontaneous road trips, savoring meals with companions, doting on her three pugs and cat, and even soaring in a hot air balloon to check off a bucket-list dream.

Phyllis poured decades into Indiana National Bank, starting her journey as a teller and climbing to the Credit Rating Department before retirement. Her steadfast commitment helped shape the institution while she balanced professional duties with personal passions.

Mark Bailey (Kim) of Indianapolis, along with eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded by her husband Thomas J. Bailey, Sr., daughter Carolyn Vaught, son-in-law Ron Vaught, grandson Adam, and parents Stanley and Ruth Boyer (Tener), Phyllis's gentle guidance and unwavering affection created enduring bonds.
