A devoted Catholic, skilled gardener, masterful cook, talented seamstress, and welcoming host, she infused creativity and care into every endeavor. Her home became a haven of laughter, comfort, and open-hearted inclusion, where family, friends, neighbors, and unexpected visitors alike found a seat, a meal, and genuine belonging. Nancy's passions included globe-trotting adventures with her beloved husband Vincent and fostering deep, enduring friendships that felt like family.

Nancy E. Mercuri's legacy lives on through their family and loved ones:
- Nancy met Vincent in Albany and they wed on June 4, 1966, building a partnership rich in shared joys. As a mother to daughters Kim (Tim) Urquhart, Lori (Mark) McDonough, and Susan (Andy) Abbott, she excelled in creating magical moments. Her ultimate delight was as 'Mawmaw' to grandchildren Katelyn (Jackson) Moench, Riley (Jennifer) McDonough, Griffin McDonough, Megan Abbott, Cole Abbott, Lucas (Makayle) Ranger, Benjamin (Shannon) Ranger, Samuel Ranger, and Nathan (Audrey) Urquhart, plus great-grandchildren Knox, Anderson Urquhart, and Baby Moench. Adored pets Rudy and Alfie rounded out her cherished circle. Preceded in death by her parents, Nancy's home always brimmed with her love language: feeding and embracing everyone.
