Life & Legacy
Maurice 'Bud' Henry Paris Jr. crafted a life rich with outdoor joys, steadfast faith, and unwavering family bonds, leaving behind a tapestry of laughter, travels, and quiet accomplishments that warmed everyone he touched.
Born in Evansville, Indiana, to Maurice Paris Sr. and Louise Mangold Paris, Bud embraced a world of simple pleasures from his early days. A graduate of Bosse High School, he pursued higher education with focus, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering from Evansville College and later a Master's from Indiana University—all while balancing duties in the Army Reserves. Retirement opened doors to his passions: perfecting his lawn, casting lines while fishing, and perfecting swings on the golf course, often under the Florida sun at his seasonal home. Sundays found him faithfully at Castleton United Methodist Church alongside his wife, a ritual spanning more than five decades, where his easy humor brightened pews and gatherings alike.
Bud's professional path showcased dedication across key industries, with pivotal roles at RCA, Black & Decker, and Thompson Electronics shaping his expertise in engineering and management. Even after stepping back from corporate life, he stayed active, lending his skills at Stoney Creek Golf Course and in a fiscal tax venture, blending work with his love for the game.
