Mary Ann poured her passion into nursing, graduating from Marion University after Thomas Carr Howe High School. For more than 25 years at Community East Hospital, her gentle reassurance, hearty laughter, and empathetic care uplifted countless patients, embodying selfless service in every shift.

Her heart swelled with five grandchildren—Matthew Riddle (Kelli), Kelsey Riddle, Emily Paugh (Caleb), Sam Hoagland, and Max Hoagland (Shelby)—and six great-grandchildren, with another on the way. She also stayed close with brother Mike Walker (Ruth Ann), sister-in-law Janet Walker, and a host of nieces and nephews, always fostering a sense of inclusive warmth.
