Born in Indianapolis to Glenn H. and Irene VanTreese, Marcia grew up embracing the vibrancy of her hometown. A proud graduate of Ben Davis High School in 1951, she stepped into adulthood with optimism and spirit. Her journey wove through meaningful partnerships, professional dedication, and deep-rooted faith, culminating in a retirement filled with family treasures and church fellowship at Lawrence United Methodist.

For over three decades until her retirement in 2003, Marcia thrived in the mortgage industry, bringing reliability and expertise to multiple firms. Her long-term commitment shaped countless financial journeys, reflecting her steadfast work ethic and knack for building trust in professional circles.

Family & Loved Ones

Marcia poured her boundless energy into nurturing bonds that spanned generations, from her early marriage to Marvin F. Romeril, with whom she raised son Derek and daughter Christi, to her later union with Carl E. 'Gene' Heaton. Even after both husbands departed in 2008, she remained a pillar for her grandson Eric, granddaughter Heather Morris and her husband Dustin, great-granddaughter Olivia Morris, and great-grandsons Bennett Romeril, Dominic Morris, and Silas Romeril, alongside son Derek and his wife Charlyn 'Sharpy,' plus a circle of cherished cousins—always the one whose quick wit turned ordinary moments into cherished keepsakes.
