Born in Blue Island, Illinois, Jeanne's early years took a pivotal turn when her family relocated to St. Bernice, Indiana, in 1932. There, she thrived, completing her education at St. Bernice High School in 1948 before embarking on a partnership that defined much of her journey. In 1949, she wed her high school sweetheart, George M. Bain, Jr., building a marriage that spanned 54 fulfilling years. Active in local circles, Jeanne embraced roles in Speedway United Methodist Church, Englewood Chapter #483 of the Order of the Eastern Star, P.E.O. Chapter CN, and the Friendship Circle of the Scottish Rite, weaving herself into the fabric of her community.
Jeanne devoted 27 years to General Electric Supply Company, retiring with a wealth of experience before lending her skills to Markey's Audio Visual for several more years. Her commitment extended beyond paid work, as she gave a decade of volunteer service to Ronald McDonald House, supporting families in need with unwavering compassion.
