His military tenure as an Army medic during the Korean conflict earned him two Bronze Stars for bravery under pressure. Beyond that, his lifelong ties to the Brookside Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Brookside Methodist Church underscored a commitment to fellowship and service that enriched his surroundings.
