Life & Legacy
Edward Ching Liang carved a bold path from rural Taiwan to the heart of America, embodying fearless determination and an unquenchable zest for life's adventures, leaving behind a tapestry of hard-earned triumphs and joyful pursuits.
Born amid the serene countryside of Miaoli, Taiwan, as one of five brothers, Edward grew into a man of unwavering resolve and candid spirit. Driven by audacity, he ventured alone to the United States, navigating unfamiliar lands from New York to New Jersey, Arizona, North Carolina, and Indiana. Through the simple power of handwritten letters, he discovered his soulmate, Susan, forging a partnership that anchored his new world. His days brimmed with passions: savoring bold flavors from meats to rare delicacies, rooting fervently for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and swinging clubs on the golf course, often rallying his children to join in the game.
Edward's relentless drive shone through his entrepreneurial leap in opening a restaurant, a symbol of his grit and vision. Undeterred by challenges, he juggled roles in delivery, warehousing, and retail, ensuring his family's stability and funding college dreams for his three children, all while nurturing whimsical hopes of lottery wins or golf stardom.
