Born and raised in Indianapolis, Donna Marie Fillmore grew up under the nurturing care of her mother, Helen Louise (Smith), who later became DeGolyer and Davis, and her devoted stepfather, Warren DeGolyer. Her early years in the city shaped a resilient spirit that carried her through a fulfilling journey marked by professional commitment and joyful pursuits. In her later chapter, Donna spent 15 years at Chalet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where she built lasting bonds with staff and fellow residents while actively championing their needs as a member of the Resident Council.
For almost four decades, Donna poured her expertise into Blue Cross Blue Shield, navigating the intricacies of Claims and Appeals at Anthem, AdminaStar Federal, and National Government Services. Her steadfast service culminated in a well-earned retirement in 2009, reflecting a career defined by reliability and a passion for helping others.
