Life & Legacy
Donald Lee 'Don' White crafted a life rich in simple joys, steadfast service, and unwavering family bonds, leaving an indelible mark on his Indianapolis community through decades of hands-on passion and quiet faith.
Born in the small town of Ladoga, Indiana, Don grew into a man who embraced everyday adventures with enthusiasm. His world revolved around the rhythms of hands-on projects, the twang of country tunes from cassette decks, and the camaraderie of the bowling alley. A devoted churchgoer at Drexel Gardens Christian Church—where he held the distinction of being the longest-standing member—Don wove spirituality into the fabric of his days, balancing it with a love for tinkering in his garage on whatever caught his inventive eye.
Don dedicated much of his professional life as a manager at Elliott Williams & Co., where his leadership steadied operations and supported colleagues over many years. His sense of duty extended to the United States Navy, where he served his country with pride and commitment.

His sister Carol Stout and brother David White rounded out the close-knit group he held dear, even as he mourned the loss of his beloved wife Elgie, daughter Vickie Daudy, son-in-law Ed Daudy, a cherished grandson, sister-in-law Jo White, and brother-in-law David Stout. Known for his patient guidance and infectious chuckle, Don turned ordinary moments into enduring family treasures.
