Bryan's deepest joys revolved around his daughters Ashley Waterman of Greenfield, Indiana, and Krystal Price (married to Vernon) of Anderson, Indiana, whom he regarded as his greatest triumphs. His pride swelled even further with grandchildren Nicholas and Aniya from Ashley, Jadon and Sahvannah from Krystal, plus cherished extras Brandon, James, Ianna, John, and Jaxon. He shared unbreakable ties with brothers Bobby McDaniel (and wife Lyla) in Greenville, South Carolina; Brad McDaniel (with Trish Daily) in Fresno, California; Bruce Pettis in Beech Grove, Indiana; and Barry Pettis (with Tina) in Indianapolis—though he mourned the loss of nephew Zach Pettis amid a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and kin.
