Albert's journey took him to the United States Army, where he served proudly as a Specialist 5, honing values of loyalty and resilience. Later, he pursued further learning at A&T University, channeling his drive into a fulfilling professional path.

- Albert shared a profound bond with his late wife, Patricia Withers, building a life centered on love and mutual support. Though preceded in death by his parents Lawson and Mamie Withers, brothers James C. Withers and Willie M. Withers, and niece Deidre Withers-Smith, he remained deeply connected to his family. He is lovingly remembered by nieces Monica Yvette Withers, Tracie Brothers, Kyonna Henry, and Janell Withers; nephew Derek Withers; and a wide circle of relatives and friends who cherished his guidance and kindness.
