A proud Purdue University graduate of 1964, she channeled her passion for teaching and physical activity into meaningful roles that touched countless lives. Her unwavering commitment to spiritual growth shone through her lifelong involvement in Bible Study Fellowship, where she even guided children's groups. Jean's infectious enthusiasm for people drew her to share devotional books like Jesus Calling, sparking faith journeys for many. Married to her high school sweetheart John A. 'Tony' Waddy for 62 fulfilling years, she filled her home with love and chose every moment to cherish their bond.
Jean's professional journey began as a physical education teacher at the Indiana School for the Deaf, where she inspired students through active learning. After dedicating time to her young family, she returned to education as a librarian and teacher's assistant at Lawrence Township schools, supporting young minds with resources and encouragement. Her church activities further extended her influence, leading children's Bible studies and fostering spiritual development in her community.
